Imperium runs as a real app on your phone — no app store, no download. Add it to your home screen and you get a clean, full-screen experience, plus notifications when someone replies. It takes about 15 seconds, and it updates itself automatically.
iPhone & iPad — iOS 16.4 or later
- Open Imperium in Safari (it has to be Safari — use the same web address you’re reading this on).
- Tap the Share icon — the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add (top-right).
- Open Imperium from the new home-screen icon — it launches full-screen, like an app.
Android — Chrome
- Open Imperium in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ menu (top-right) → Install app (or Add to Home screen). Chrome often shows an Install banner on its own — you can just tap that.
- Tap Install to confirm.
- Open Imperium from your home-screen icon — it launches full-screen.
What you get
- A home-screen icon and a full-screen, app-like experience — no browser bar
- Quick shortcuts: long-press the icon for New Topic, Inbox, Bookmarks, and Top
- Automatic updates — there’s never an app-store update to chase
- Notifications (replies, mentions, answers) are rolling out gently — when the app asks, tap Allow, and you’ll never be flooded

Tip: on iPhone, notifications only work after you’ve added Imperium to your home screen — that’s an Apple requirement, not ours.
