This is one of Imperium’s higher-stakes spaces. You’re often making decisions for someone who can’t make them for themselves — that deserves extra care. We keep it open and honest — and we hold one line that keeps it safe.
Share your experience — not instructions for someone else.
“Here’s what happened with my child, alongside our pediatrician” is exactly what belongs here. “Here’s what you should give, how to dose, or which treatment to use” doesn’t — even when it’s well-meant. Children’s bodies, doses, and safety are specialized, and the cost of getting it wrong is high.
Welcome here: your caregiver experience, what helped or what hurt, your questions, information with a source/link, and support for each other.
Not here: dosing or treatment instructions for someone else’s child; advice to start or stop a medication; advice to delay or skip indicated medical care; sourcing prescription or research compounds; or “you don’t need your pediatrician for this.”
When to stop reading and get care now: a child struggling to breathe, very drowsy or hard to wake, a high fever in a young infant, a stiff neck, a spreading rash, or signs of dehydration — seek urgent pediatric care. If this could be an emergency, contact your local emergency number (911 in the US) — a forum can’t help in an emergency.
If you’re in crisis or thinking of harming yourself: you’re not alone, and we want you safe. In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) — free, confidential, 24/7. Anywhere in the world, find a free helpline at findahelpline.com. We’re a community, not a crisis service — please reach the people who are.
Imperium is built on lived experience and evidence. In here, we lead with care.
